Forum Post: NAV not working on Windows 8

Good day, I have been battling to get NAV 2009 R2 Role Tailored Client to work on a Windows 8 (64 bit) machine. I get an error message on NAV startup stating "The application could not be started. Do you want to view information about this issue?" When I click on Yes, it takes me to a Microsoft page related to the .Net framework. I have confirmed that the .Net framework is installed (via the Add/Remove Windows features in Control Panel). I have also tried running the NAV application in compatibility mode for Windows XP SP3 as well as Windows 7. I have also confirmed that all WIndows updates have been done.

Any advice would be most welcome. Thank you in advance
