I was somewhat surprised to read your "recommendation".. .
Choosing for the Classic over the RTC - especially in the year 2013 - knowing where NAV2013 is going - is a no go, and an expensive choice in the long run. It shouldn't be even allowed to the customer to let them make that choice.
Whether the UX is better or not, is just a matter of interpretation and experience. All new products are worse than the ones you're used to work with.. just because the fact you're used to them .. not because they are..
