Dynamics NAV 2013 includes a lot of enhancements and new features. These are some of the more interesting ones:
Cash Flow Forecast – Analyze cash flow and take action quickly. Understand your current cash position, forecast short-term cash flow, and monitor cash receipts and disbursements. Create multiple cash flow forecasts for different time periods. Deliver role-appropriate cash flow information via Role Center screens.
Assembly Management – Capabilities help you optimize inventory levels while maintaining superior customer service in assemble-to-order and assemble-to-stock processes. Assembly Management integrates with the complete Microsoft Dynamics NAV supply chain suite, including Sales, Supply Planning, Warehousing, Inventory Management, and Item Tracking, to help streamline operations, reduce costs, and expedite order fulfillment.
End-User Charting - Take advantage of unique charting and visualization capabilities in Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 to help users see and understand data from across your business, and then to take prompt, informed action. Flexible, configurable chart types and charting capabilities give users a simple way to drill down into details from a chart or visualization, fostering improved analysis and better control.
Broaden the Reach of Business Intelligence and Reporting - Create and access reports faster and more easily with dynamic sorting and KPI visualizations, so your team can analyze data their way. Speed your time to value—the Microsoft Excel add-in makes it possible to use PowerPivot and other rich analytical tools to create professional-looking reports exactly how you want them. The ability to embed fonts into PDF files and new color capabilities help you create reports that appear on screen exactly as they do in print.
Deployment – Deployment is simpler, thanks to Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 enhancements and tools that facilitate setup and deployment, from installing the product DVD to setting up the database. Advances include a new, managed data access layer that uses ADO.NET to handle communication between Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 and Microsoft SQL Server. Elimination of manual steps speeds deployment and frees IT resources for other tasks.
Rapid Start for Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 – Supports faster implementations by using out-of-the-box configurations.
Simplify VAT Compliance and Reporting - Adapt to changes in VAT rates quickly and easily, defining what master data needs to be updated, matching old information to new posting groups, and implementing the changes on open documents and journal lines—all with a few simple clicks.
