My company is installing MS Nav 2009 and LS Retail for finance, supply chain and sales. We have products that are managed by item serial number, which can be transfered or sold in multiples of 1000, with many transaction per day. This is ok for supply chain but when the transaction is moved to the item legder and value ledger entry tables each line is split out per serial number. So the dbase increases very quickly and creates issues for the dbase size and running inventory avergae costs.
Does anyone have the same issue and how was it managed/overcome? Currently my developers are saying we have to make new developments in Nav and LS Retail.
Thanks
Mike
