Few days ago, Microsoft published the latest Update Rollup Build 36281. You can find more details about this update here. There are many benefits included, but maybe the most important is the bug fixing connected with losing data from database. Microsoft describe this as ‘data loss can occur when you make changes to an object multiple times or compile all objects in a live database with active users connected’.
I had a big problems with this bug on two projects. As NAV 2013 R2 started in October last year, we made localization very quickly and started with three projects GoLive in January. We lose data on two of these projects and this was devastating experience. These was not posted data, but these was data in sales and purchase lines and headers. We made very small customization on these tables, but we didn’t know that there are an active users on database.
We've got over this problem, but I highly recommend to all partners to install this rollup immediately, so you can avoid similar experience. Microsoft wrote about this recently here.
