Worked it out: Isentityrefrence takes the dynamics key and does a look up in the nav integration table, as the account table is alreadty sync'd (table 18, customer) then the same guid can't be used for table 270, the bank account. So i created a property in the account entity in crm to hold a dummy guid to use as the sync key in nav.This new dummy guid can be used in the mapping . To create your dummy guid a plugin oncreate of the account is probably the best solution.
