Forum Post: Requisition planning / logic

Hello!

I have an item A in location X (Replenishment = Transfer) and a nice setup for reorder point etc. If my stock level goes below e.g. 10, then item should be transferred from location Y (Replenishment = Order). Requistion planning / Calculate plan creates a transfer order for this case (correctly). In addition a purchase order is suggested for location Y (again correct, if there isn't enough products in location Y). Question: Why the suggested purchase order line have Expected Receipt Date = today and Order Date  = (Today - Lead time) = in past (e.g. 2nd of April 2014).

If I now happen to change the Expected (or Promised) Receipt Date, the whole process starts from the beginning: Calculate Plan wants to delete the purchase order (since the order date changes when Expected Receipt Date is changed) and create a new Purchase Order again with false dates...

It might be that this is just how NAV works, but I wanted to have some logical explanation for this... If I wanted to use Expected Receipt Date it seems to be impossible if you are using requisition?
