Forum Post: RE: Linking Posted Sales Shipment number to Posted Sales Invoices on Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2017
Hi, There is no one to one relation between Sales Shipment and Sales Invoice as there could be multiple invoices for one shipment and one invoice for multiple shipments. There is a action on Sales Shipment Line to show the related Sales Invoice Line - This calls GetSalesInvLines in Table 111 Sales Shipment Line which can help you find related Sales Invoice Line.

Forum Post: RE: Starting NAV 2016 changes Windows keyboard language
I have the same problem with my NAV 2013. When I open it, it creates 3 other windows languages and assigns the ENG one by default. I also have a test 2018 environment and it does the same thing. Automatically selects the Windows language ENG, even when the opening NAV is not in ENG.

Forum Post: RE: NAV 2013 R2 and TLS 1.2
We just ran into this as well however the problem was slightly different. On a new Server 2016 server with SQL 2016 installed, the customer's IT administrator had disabled ssl 1,2,3 and tls1.0. As a result the nav 2013 r2 dev client would not connect (cu41 48068). Once we enabled TLS 1.0 again, the dev client worked fine. Specifically does NAV 2013 r2's dev client support TLS 1.1 or 1.2, is there a later CU required maybe?

Forum Post: Editing 1099 Information
I have run across an issue with one vendor when it comes to editing their 1099 Code and 1099 Amount. I edited their code and amounts on the edit list of the vendor ledger entries screen. However, when I run the 1099 Information Report the amount is incorrect. I have had to edit vendor 1099 information in the past and this is the first time I have run across this issue. We currently use the 2015 version of Microsoft NAV.

Blog Post: How to create new web client site and bind it to another certificate
Hi, these days I had a very challenging problem that I need to create new Dynamics NAV Web Client instance to test another certificate but the old one must work 0/24. So to share this experience I will write short blog post about it. First step is to create new Site on server by clicking on Sites -> Add Web Site. In next window specify parameters like on picture bellow. Site name which will be shown in Sites tree Path to NAVWebApplicationContainer Binding https or http If you choose https then select SSL Certificate which you want to use for web site. Confrim modification with OK. Next step is to create virtual directory for our web client In new window specify parameters like on picture bellow. Name of your instance Path to folder for instance Next step is to create reference (Symbolic link) between new web client folder and web client in program files. In CMD enter command: New folder WebClient will be created under C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\Renato4Web\ Now next step is to create folder with icons and other media (ExtractedResources). Navigate to C:\Program Data\Microsoft\Microsoft Dynamics NAV\100\Web Client\ and there you will find default folder. Make copy of them and name it like Alias name Now grant permission to IIS_IUSRS to write on that folder Now we need to link this new folder in IIS with our web client site. In new windows set parameters for ExtractedResources like on picture bellow. Now copy web.config from original web site to C:\inetpub\wwwroot\Renato4Web and made modification if needed that this web client looks at another service instance, database, another credential type if needed. And the last step is to convert web client to an application After that you will be able to connect to https://localhost:port/Renato4Web/WebClient. At the end one notification that first few times I was half-cocked and change ExtractedResource with ExtendedResource which has for result that I wasn’t able to see icons in NAV. Also thanks for this blog post which opens my eyes and give me short guidelines how to create complete new web site. Br, Renato.

Forum Post: RE: Is there Reserve Order Concept in NAV?
Hi All, I'd like to reopen this topic. I understand the automatic reservation, I can choose reservation on stock or on purchase order, so it's ok for me. But what is the connection between automatic reservation and MRP? Our scenario: 1. there is a sales order and on this there is an Item "A" which doesn't have stock at the moment. When I create the sales line the system mentions that automatic reservation it is not possible, do you want to reserve items manually way? I choose No. 2. I run the MRP and I create a new purchase order by MRP standard 3. In my mind the expected result would be that MRP provide the connection between sales order and purchase order by reservation. As I tested It doesn't work. But in this scenario (without automatic reservation by MRP) the quantity on purchase order it's free anybody can reserve for it and I can not serve (quarantee the needed quantity) the original sales order I come from Dynamics AX world and this scenarion seems absolutly clear and I am looking for the way to manage this in NAV 2017

Forum Post: RE: What I need to sell a NAV subscription full environment
Last question and if the customer wants on-premise Dynamics NAV with the Subscription model?
↧
Forum Post: RE: What I need to sell a NAV subscription full environment
Subscription model has a cost for user for months. In this model, your license to the “solution functionality” and your “user” licenses are combined. There are three kinds of Subscription Access Licenses (or SALs): 1) Full Users: These users have access to everything in Dynamics NAV included in the above-mentioned “starter pack”. 2) Extended Additive: Think of this as a “power-up” for your full users that allows them access to the also above-mentioned manufacturing, CRM, warehouse, or financial capabilities. If you want to purchase these, you need to purchase one for every full user. 3) Limited: These users are only really able to view things in Dynamics NAV. They can also “write” to a limited number of databases.

Forum Post: RE: Zup file location under Citrix plataform
The Zup files for Citrix are likely located all together in a folder on one of the servers (like a Domain Controller). You might be able to go to the NAV icon on the users desktop, view Properties, and look at the Target to locate the UNC for the server\folder where the "citrix profiles$" folder exists.

Forum Post: RE: NAV DEVELOPMENT / Document No. not defaulting at print screen window
It is not liking the screen shot, when I paste it does not appear. Example: Print a posted sales invoice -- Under "Show Options" the first filter No. = Defaults to the Document Number of the Posted Sales Invoice you are viewing. In this case it is not defaulting to that posted invoice it is showing any other posted invoice number.
